Please join us for an old fashioned caroling experience. We will gather on Monday, December 10 at 6:30 PM in the Narthex of the church. As we walk the close-by neighborhood and offer our songs to willing listeners, we will gift them with candy canes. After warming the hearts of our neighbors, we will return to the narthex and warm our noses and toes while enjoying hot chocolate and cookies.

But instead we wait—even though we want to see it— until the moment we celebrate the Good News! Advent is about the great expectation of what’s to come!

I also want to thank the volunteers who helped sort and pack food for families here at St. Hubert and those who drove to deliver food for families at St. Aloysius. May God’s blessings be upon all of you during this holiday season.

As the holiday season and end of the year approaches, here are a few different vehicles some people have used for their charitable giving.

The Advent wreath is made of a circle of branches with four candles set within it. The circle of evergreens is a symbol of hope unending—the circle without beginning or end and evergreens that remain alive when other trees shed leaves that die and fall to earth. The candles, one lit each week, remove the darkness with light that increases as we anticipate the coming of Christ, our Light of the World.
