The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be celebrated on Sunday, April 22nd at the 9:00 AM Mass. Please alert relatives and neighbors to the possibility of receiving this sacrament. Even if you will not be present for these liturgies, remember to pray for the sick of the parish.

Whether you are new to St. Hubert or have been here for a while, but have not had time to register…  Please join us next week for a WELCOMING WEEKEND on Saturday, April 21 beginning with the 4:30 PM Mass. After Mass, join us in the lower level of the church to complete your registration and enjoy a meal. Please reserve your spot by completing a Reservation Form either online or by stopping in the Parish office this week. 

Discovering the Real Jesus & The Joy of the Gospel

We are recruiting for the coming school year beginning in September. Our greatest need, at present, is in the Confirmation Program where we have two vacancies. We meet in the school on Sunday evenings from 7:20—9:00 PM. We also need a 6 th Grade teacher who has an interest in teaching scripture for a class on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00—5:45 PM.

Hosted at St. Hubert Parish from June 17-June 22. Five Days of Faith, Friends & Fun. Kid’s Day Camp: Grades 1 through 6 is 9:00 AM—2:30 PM Monday through Friday. Teen Program: Junior High and High School is 7:00 PM—9:00 PM Sunday through Thursday. Registration Begins May 1.

The Advisory Board assists the Principal and Pastor by recommending policies, identifying educational needs, and articulating the aspirations of the school and school community. These goals become the basis for program objectives, policies, and action plans for the educational program. School Board Members will participate in Board Standing Committees.

Thank you St. Hubert Parish for your generous support of women and babies through the Baby Bottle Project! Together we raised $5,881 that will support babies and their mothers this year through the wonderful work of The Women's Center.

Knights of Columbus Hoffman - Schaumburg Council #6964 will host an Altar Server Appreciation Pizza Party on Thursday, April 19, 6:30—7:45 PM in the St. Hubert Parish Ministry Center. Parents are to call the parish ministry center and register the names of their Altar Server child/children who will attend the pizza party. The last day to registration through your parish is Wednesday, April 18.

A parishioner, Patrick Fleming, has offered to repair broken rosaries. Please donate any unused, broken rosaries so that their parts can be used to repair member’s rosaries. In addition to repairing rosaries, Patrick makes rosaries for the missions, and he also accepts any rosaries people wish to donate.

The St. Hubert Domestic Violence Ministry is asking our parishioners to help us with a WINGS Mother’s Day project of making bags/baskets to be distributed to all the WINGS houses. A bin will be in the back of the Narthex by the Memory Wall to collect your donated items for these bags/baskets. Here is a list of suggested items

Each year close to 3 million reports of suspected child abuse are filed in the US. Many cases are never reported. Forms of child abuse are physical, emotional, sexual, and neglect. They are similar to the Domestic Violence cases that are reported. Learn to recognize the signs of child abuse and neglect and make a difference.

In the Church’s rite of baptism—both infant and adult—the newly baptized is clothed in a white garment as they come out of the font. What does it mean to drop your old clothes and be robed in a white garment? The rite tells us to see in our white garment a sign of our new life with Christ. Now you are putting on Christ and clothing yourself with his way of life. It was customary for the newly baptized to wear their white robes for the full 50 days celebrating Easter. In fact, anyone who was a neophyte or long-baptized could wear this white garment publicly as a sign of their transformation.
