CMI is an invitational process that provides families and students with an opportunity to explore issues of faith and to receive the Sacraments. CMI process helps students deepen their faith through an experience of God and other people on a journey of faith. This children/teen program is for children of catechetical age (7 and above).

St. Hubert Church asks sponsors to attend right from the start of RCIA. In the early sessions, sponsors help to provide a welcoming atmosphere to the newcomers. Many recent RCIA participants say that friendly hospitality of the St. Hubert community was an important factor in their decision to join the Church. After about 8 weeks, RCIA participants who wish to seriously explore membership in the Catholic faith are paired with a parish sponsor. A candidate may ask you to serve as his/her sponsor or the RCIA team might match you with a candidate or catechumen who needs a sponsor.

To Be Joyful Again is a nondenominational support group for widows, widowers, or anyone else who has lost a significant other, meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM at Holy Family Parish, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness. Sister Mary Rose Michael will be speaking at all Masses this weekend for the Mission Appeal for the Sacred Heart Primary School. Through the Missionary Cooperation Plan, the Archdiocese is able to foster mission vitality and inspire discipleship in our parishes. These appeals not only provide much needed support of missionary efforts in Africa, Asia, The Caribbean, Latin America, and Pacific Islands, but they also offer a way for our own parish communities to become engaged in sharing Christ with the world. Missionaries go across the world to evangelize in remote, struggling, and persecuted communities, the poorest of the poor. They form priests, educate adults and children, offer medical care, provide safe homes, administer the Sacraments, and much more. The Second Collection this weekend will support the Summer Mission.

Children’s Ministry of Initiation (CMI) is a special parish process for families with older children, grades 3rd through 8th who have never been baptized and are interested in becoming Catholic; who were baptized in another denomination and are considering becoming Catholic; who have been baptized Roman Catholic but have received little or no formal religious education and have not received the sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation.

Summer is here.  Time to go with the Stewards of St. Hubert to the Schaumburg Boomers game on Friday, August 10 th – 7:00 p.m. Tickets will be $10.00/person and will include fireworks. We will be selling tickets after Masses at the end of July.

Build up the Church as the apostles did – Become an RCIA Sponsor Companion! A sponsor attends the weekly RCIA sessions with each candidate or catechumen. He/she helps the newcomer to learn about the Catholic faith and about St. Hubert parish community. You don’t have to be an expert on the Catholic faith, but you do have to be someone who values your Catholic faith and wants to share it with others. Through RCIA we are building people of faith into the Church, just as the apostles did! Being an RCIA sponsor is a big commitment, but it also offers big rewards.

The success of the Faith Formation of our children is due to the generosity & dedication of volunteers. These volunteers, who become Catechists and classroom aides, share their faith while teaching the youth of our parish and help them grow in the Faith. We are in need of volunteers for the upcoming 2018-2019 year, which begins in September. We will provide you with the training, tools, and support to assist you in this Ministry.
