Any donation is welcome and can be applied toward the seasonal decorations. Checks should be made out to St. Hubert Church.

Thanks to our first and second graders, who hosted this week's school Mass. We welcomed our preschoolers to Mass for the first time this year, as is part of our Advent tradition. They were each paired with an eighth-grade buddy. Our Third Graders were so excited to reach our i-Ready goal. They scored 100% on 100 lessons in Reading and Math! We celebrated with a donut party!! Our Kindergarteners, pictured on the right, celebrated Mickey Mouse's 94th birthday with arts and crafts.

Join us at 6 PM on December 12We will have complimentary masks, socially-distanced networking, touchless registration (via QR code), and hand sanitizer, as well as complimentary sealed and separately packaged snacks. Bring plenty of handbills or resumes and be prepared to present through a dynamic elevator speech with target companies in mind.

In the home the Christmas tree may be blessed by a parent or another family member, in connection with the evening meal when the tree is decorated, on the Vigil of Christmas or at another suitable time on Christmas Day. Here is blessing you can use.

During this Sunday’s 10:00 am liturgy, 2 adults and 1 child are participating in the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). They will publicly declare their intention to seek baptism or full communion with the Catholic Church. The public declaration of faith by those seeking admission to our community can be a powerful support to our own faith. They remind us to probe anew and so welcome and accept more deeply in our own lives, “the immeasurable riches of grace in God’s kindness to us in Christ Jesus.” Please continue to pray for them.

We meet on Sunday, December 4 from 1—2:30 PM in the Dorothy Day Room. The long cold winter evenings ahead are perfect for knitting or crocheting a prayer shawl that will be given to someone in our community who has a need for comfort. Ministry members meet once a month to share prayers, friendship and ideas. The members are willing to teach you to knit or crochet. Yarn and instructions are provided. The Knights of Columbus Council 6964 will be selling “Keep Christ in Christmas” car magnets after Masses this weekend until supplies run out. The car magnets will be sold for $5 each.

Every Friday, our 8th graders take a break from their studies to participate in energizers and team building activities from our school-wide Caring School Communities curriculum. This week, they paired up for a shape sorting challenge that helped them strengthen their listening skills and communication skills. We are grateful for our students, staff, school families and parish community that makes St. Hubert School such a wonderful place to learn and grow. You make these achievements possible!

To Be Joyful Again, a non-denominational support group for those who have lost a spouse or intended life partner, meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month at 7 PM at Holy Family Parish, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness. Come get the support you need in this difficult time. All are welcome.
