Rite of Welcome on May 7 at the 10:00 AM Mass. This year all the children in CMI are baptized Catholics. They are all preparing for the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. They will make public their intention to follow Jesus and continue in sacramental preparation for the initiation sacraments. From this point on, these children, who are already baptized, will be called candidates. Watch for their photos on our kiosk in the narthex of the church.

To Be Joyful Again, a non-denominational support group for those who have lost a spouse or intended life partner, meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month at 7 PM at Holy Family Parish, 2515 Palatine Road, Inverness. Come get the support you need in this difficult time.

For centuries, the Catholic Church has set aside the entire month of May to honor Mary, the Mother of God. Every Friday morning at 8:00 AM, we gather in church to pray the rosary before the 8:30 AM Mass. It would be wonderful if you could join us in this beautiful prayer. If you are unable to join us, perhaps you could find time to pray the rosary at home.

If you have been recently widowed and are still struggling with the loss, or if you have been widowed for some time and need something to get you “over the hump” because you seem stuck in one spot, this program is designed to help you move on with life while still treasuring your past and its precious memories. This unique retreat/workshop will be held at St. Julie’s Parish, Tinley Park, Illinois. The Joyful Again! program is for both men and women (all ages) who have been widowed and are still trying to find hope and new joy in life. 

The Helping Hands Ministry was formed to assist members in our parish, free of charge, in various ways. To request assistance or to volunteer, please contact the St. Hubert front office: 847-885-7700, ext. 102, and your request will be shared with the Helping Hands Coordinator.

Did you know more than 17 scholarships have been awarded to St. Hubert Catholic School students for the 2023-24 school year thanks to the Invest in Kids Tax Credit Scholarship Program?   Let your legislators know you value this program, and what it means to the St. Hubert Catholic School community, and ask them to #RemoveTheSunset! Despite its immense success, the Tax Credit Scholarship Program is a pilot program and has a sunset clause, which would end the program in 2023, unless our state lawmakers vote to extend or make the program permanent. It will take you less than one minute to complete the process. The Board is established to assist the Principal and the Pastor by providing advice and counsel. As a member of the board, you get the opportunity to be involved in Strategic Planning, New Initiative Formulation, Institutional Advancement/Development/Marketing, Financial Planning and Financial Management, Communication and Mission Enhancement. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month in the School Library at 7 PM unless otherwise specified, and last 1-1.5 hours. The St. Hubert Bayanihan Association cordially invites you to Flores de Mayo: A Mass in honor of our Blessed Mother on Saturday, May 13 at 6:30 PM for the Rosary and 7:00 PM for Mass. Bring your Virgin Mary statues for the procession & blessing and/or flowers to offer. Reception, entertainment, and 50/50 fundraising raffle to follow. Feel free to bring desserts to share.
