The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is intended for those who are ill. The illness need not be life-threatening to receive the sacrament. Today it is a common practice for people to be anointed if they are suffering from a chronic disease or addiction and wish to receive the special grace of this sacrament. Please sign in at a table in the Narthex next Sunday.

Cardinal Cupich is lifting the general dispensation from the obligation to participate in Sunday Mass that was put into effect at the beginning of the pandemic. As we begin a new Church year on the First Sunday of Advent, November 26-27, this is a moment to renew our invitation to those parishioners who are physically able to return to Mass in person, as well as renew our life in Christ as a community of believers. This year, the solemnity of All Saints Day falls on a Tuesday.  Eucharist will be celebrated at 7:00 AM , 8:30 AM and 7:30 PM.  All Souls’ Day, The Commemoration of All The Faithful Departed, is Wednesday. Our customary Mass for the feast of All Souls, will be celebrated at 7:30 PM Mass. This liturgy will include our traditional All Souls Day Mass practices of remembering parishioners who have been buried from St. Hubert. 

A new program, Men4Jesus, was developed as an opportunity for the men of the parish to get together to reflect upon and improve our spiritual lives. We will meet once a month on Saturday mornings from 7:30 – 9:00 AM beginning on October 8th for a total of seven meetings. You do not need to make a commitment to attend every meeting when you sign up. It is a great opportunity to start your weekend on a positive note!

The Institute for Diaconal Studies (IDS) invites all men who feel the gentle nudge of the Holy Spirit to attend an Exploring the Diaconate session. It is a time to pray, discuss, and learn more about the discernment process and the formation program that aspirants and candidates pursue. The St. Joseph Icon, blessed by Pope Francis, is the current traveling icon and is being brought to St. Hubert Church on August 1st and 2nd. A special prayer service will be held on Monday, August 1st at 7 PM. We invite and encourage everyone to join in this faith-filled and inspiring prayer service.
