Thank you to everyone who has already completed the Disciple Maker Index Survey, which is linked to this article. We’re in the final week. The survey just takes between 10-15 minutes, is anonymous, and will help us plan for the future. It’s a tool that will help us understand the needs of all of us at St. Hubert and St. Matthew as two families of faith come together. Thanks for being a part of it!

We received the official Decree from the Archdiocese about the unification of St. Hubert and St. Matthew. There is a link on the home page of our website, but you can also obtain a hard copy in the narthex. The Archdiocese introduced us to Sara Pelrine, a Project Manager, who will help guide us through the process, which begins with what they call “Data Gathering.” That’s a fancy way of saying that we’ll be looking objectively at each parish to get a handle on everything—especially in three important areas: people, finances and facilities. I met with Sara this past week and she’s meeting with Father Glab this week. After that, we’ll begin to meet together as we look ahead to July 1. Thank you again to everyone who has offered to help out in this process. We have an incredibly generous community, which reveals itself in many ways. I will know more in the weeks ahead and will keep you posted.

The work of our four parish’s Feedback and Discernment Process has been completed. A report team, which included a representative from each parish, completed a Feedback Summary Report over a period of about a month as the entire group had a chance to weigh in about the scenarios and ensure the content reflected the sense of the feedback we received from all involved, including you. On December 15th the report team and pastors will present the Feedback Summary to the Renew My Church Executive Committee. After this, there are a couple more committees that will give input about the scenarios before the Cardinal makes his decision in early to mid-January.

The Grouping Feedback & Discernment Teams from each of our four parishes met last Monday. Together, we are compiling a summary of all the feedback we’ve received on the five different scenarios for our parishes in terms of their viability. A draft report is completed and now we’re working out the details and language to ensure we capture the true sense of the faithful in all our parishes. When this step is completed, the Summary Report will be presented to the Renew My Church Executive Committee.

We’ve compiled all the responses we received from everyone from the parish. Thank you for taking the time to share your insights and thoughts on the five scenarios. We’re grateful and thankful for everyone who has given us feedback about the Renew My Church Process. This past Monday, the four parishes met to discuss the feedback we received from each of our Parish Town Hall Meetings and to look at the viability of the five different scenarios in light of what is in the hearts and minds of each parish. The goal now is for the grouping as a whole to respond to each scenario with a recommendation that is presented to the Cardinal.

You’ll find a summary on the insert of today’s bulletin. There’s also a form that you can complete to share your opinion with our Feedback & Discernment Team as we head into the next rounds of meetings with our neighboring parishes.
