Celebrating National Vocation Awareness Week

Here are some ways we’ll be celebrating National Vocation Awareness Week:
 
A Holy Hour for Vocations
Tuesday, November 8, 5-7 PM
Prayer aids and prayer cards will be available.
Come for 5 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour or two hours—however long you’d like to stay. Praying in front of the Blessed Sacrament is one of the most powerful ways we can help foster vocations.
 
Celebrating “A Taste of Saint Hubert”
Saturday, November 12 after the 4:30 PM Mass
In addition to celebrating the diversity of our parish, we’ll also celebrate the diversity of religious life. We've invited religious sisters, brothers and priests to mix and mingle (and eat!) with us as we enjoy “A Taste of Saint Hubert”. You’ll even have a chance to pose for a picture with the Pope!
 
A Parish Vocation Fair
After all the Masses on November 13
We’ll introduce religious sisters and brothers from different Religious Orders during all the Masses as we celebrate their service in the Church. You’ll also have an opportunity to meet them and talk with them in the Narthex afterward.
 
Adopt a Seminarian
After all the Masses on 11/13
As we’ve done in the past, you’ll have a chance to stop by the vocation’s table to receive a holy card to pray for one of our Chicago Seminarians in formation at both the college and post-graduate levels. The faithful affirm the vocation that a seminarian feels within. So, praying for them is one of the best ways to help them discover how God is calling them.
 
Talking With the Youth
Our seminarians visited the 6^th, 7^th and 8^th graders in our school this past Tuesday. On Sunday, November 13, women and men religious will talk with the 7^th and 8^th graders in our Religious Education Program who are preparing for Confirmation.
 
A Mass of Thanksgiving
Sunday, November 13 at the 10 AM Mass
Fr. David Jameson, who was with us for 5 years before being ordained a priest last June, returns on November 13 to preside at the 10 AM Mass. It will truly be a Mass of Thanksgiving—thanksgiving for his vocation, but also thanksgiving for the ways you supported him along the way.
