We’re blessed to have a diverse faith community—including vocationally. In addition to the diverse lay community, we also have parishioners who are consecrated and have given their lives in service to religious communities. In addition to our deacons and priests, we have religious sisters who pray with us, a consecrated virgin, and the Alexian Brothers, too. This past Sunday, Brother Exequiel Mapa, CFA, professed his perpetual vows (also known as “final vows”) in the chapel at Alexian Brothers Hospital, and some of our Saint Hubert Parishioners were there to witness it. Fr. Mike was blessed to preside at the Mass with Fr. Adam McDonald SDV; our Music Director Ed Magistrado was a cantor and played piano; Ed’s son AJ was on hand to accompany with the flute; Joan Baguious cantored, and Joanmarie Wermes was one of the lectors. It was a beautiful celebration. We’re blessed that Brother Zeke, Brother Dan and their community calls Saint Hubert their parish home. As we heard in the ceremony, may God bless the good work begun in Brother Zeke. Our Saint Hubert Community is very proud!
