The Prayer Shawl Ministry produces prayer shawls for our Parish community family. When a person wraps oneself in a prayer shawl, the shawl serves as a reminder of the mercy, peace and compassion that can be found in God's loving embrace. A prayer shawl begins with the shawl creator saying prayers for the recipient. The intentions are continued during the creation of the shawl. At our meetings, a final blessing is obtained by members praying together for the recipients and requestors. Our ministry is open to anyone who has the skills or desire to knit, or crochet. To become a part of the Ministry, please join us! Additional hands are always needed! There are always hands to teach.
Join us this Sunday, December 3rd from 1—2:30 PM in the Dorothy Day Room of the Parish Ministry Center on the St. Hubert campus. To learn more about the ministry or to request a prayer shawl, please contact Marie Staffa at 847-885-7700, ext. 124 or [email protected].
