Children’s Ministry of Initiation CMI Whether your family is just entering the Church or returning to the practice of the Catholic faith, all are welcome to inquire about sacramental preparation through the OCIA Process, formerly known as RCIA.
Children’s Ministry of Initiation (CMI) meets on Sunday mornings. It is a two year sacramental process, which is an adaptation of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults for children under the age of 14. It is open to both the un-baptized and to those who were baptized in the Catholic Church, but have missed the study and sacramental preparation offered in early grade school. It is also open to those who are baptized in other faith traditions. Regular attendance of both the child and at least one parent is expected.
